Smart-up BSR

Smart-up BSR project addresses the challenges that the Baltic Sea Region faces in implementing regional research and innovation strategies based on smart specialisation (RIS3). The results of the project will enable partners and others in BSR to effectively realize their policies in practice, eliminate obstacles and leverage their collective knowledge and expertise to achieve effective regional and transnational collaboration. In addition, results will scale to the Baltic Sea Region as a whole, creating a promising pan-BSR process for realizing RIS3 priorities

The project:

is dynamic and entrepreneurial
implements four spearheads: healthy ageing, digitalisation, smart city, climate change and circular economy
contributes regions to learn and build solutions to regional challenges via innovation camps
promotes bottom-up innovation process and experimentation
capitalizes on existing knowledge and expertise and showcases best practices in the field of smart specialization
activates networking
engages regions in 9 countries in the Baltic Sea area.

Objectives:
Smart-up BSR as a community for RIS3 inter-regional engagement in Baltic Sea Region
